Ecchi seems to be very sexy, provocative images with no graphic depictions of
genitals. Hentai does have graphic depictions of sex. Ecchi sounds like our
letter H, and H is the first letter in hentai. So maybe ecchi (H) is a toned
down version of (H)entai.
For those who have not seen the anime or read the manga I would recommend seeing
the anime first. If you read the manga first you might be disappointed in what
the anime left out. By reading the manga second it could be a better experience
because you would realize what was left out of the anime.
The deaths in Evangelion were had to watch
and the death of Hughes from FMA was also
hard to watch because of his dughter Elicia.
Excellent job by the voice actress for Elicia.
